I'm a Design Engineer focused on clarity, craft, and calm collaboration. This document helps you understand how I work best and how we can work together effectively.

Who I Am

I work on AI-driven products where design, product, and engineering meet. I focus on making sense of complex systems and care about taste, restraint, and shipping work that holds up over time.

I value presence, calm joy, and sustainable pace. If I seem quieter, I'm usually thinking, not disengaged. Clarity and kindness go together.

How I Work

Communication

I communicate with directness and calm. I prioritize context first, decisions over endless options, and prefer to name issues early rather than let them linger. My style is thoughtful and designed to move things forward.

  • Direct and calm - no hidden agendas or passive messaging
  • Context first - I share the full picture before diving into details
  • Decisions over options - I narrow choices rather than create analysis paralysis
  • Early transparency - if something feels off, I prefer to name it early

What Energizes Me

I do my best work under these conditions:

  • Clear priorities - knowing what matters most
  • Fewer parallel threads - depth over breadth
  • Time to think - room to process before reacting
  • Trust to execute - autonomy within aligned goals
  • One clear problem at a time - focused scope
  • High trust, low ceremony - minimal process, maximum alignment
  • Shared ownership - true collaboration, not delegation
  • Respect for focus - protection for deep work

What Challenges Me

I do my best work when these challenges are minimized:

  • Ambiguous ownership - unclear who owns what
  • Constant interruptions - fragmented attention
  • Too many competing priorities - everything urgent means nothing is
  • Optimizing for optics - style over substance

Availability & Rhythm

I work best in focused blocks. Some days go deep, some days stay lighter. Output matters more than clock-watching. I default to async communication and sync when it truly matters.

Working With Me

Here's how to get the best out of our collaboration:

  • Share the real problem - not just symptoms, but the underlying challenge
  • Tell me what matters most - explicit priorities help me focus
  • Give me room to simplify - I'll look for the clearest path forward
  • Trust the process - I value momentum, but not chaos
  • Be direct with feedback - honest input helps us both improve
  • Protect focus time - I'll be more responsive when I have uninterrupted time to think
